I took a shine to astrology and the stars as a young girl. I remember being mesmerized by the little pocket astrology books at the supermarket check-outs. I got my first one at around the age of ten and had read enough of popular astrology books to give my first talk on the subject in a freshman high school speech class. In 1976, at the age of 21, I began studying astrology more seriously and taught myself how to calculate charts. I was hooked. I had found my 'magnificent obsession'. It was at this time that I discovered that one of my favorite authors on the subject, a well-respected astrologer, Robert Hand lived here on Cape Cod. In 1977, I began attending his ongoing Thursday night classes which continued for years. Soon thereafter, I also became a student of Steve Blake and Gary Christen, all of whom were partners at Astrolabe, an astrological software house now located in Brewster.

I began practicing astrology in 1979 and speaking on the subject in 1981. In 1982, I began working at Astrolabe, and had the opportunity as a software representative to travel extensively attending astrological conferences around the country and Europe further expanding my astrological education. I left Astrolabe in 1986 to spend more time in the practice of astrology.

In 1989, I returned to college where I earned a BA in psychology and sociology. Alongside my perpetual study and practice of astrology, I have been a lifelong student of a vast array of spiritual and metaphysical teachings. I have been writing an astrology column for Cape Healing Arts since 2003. My current astrological practice is an integration and distillation of 30 years study and practice of astrological, psychological, metaphysical and spiritual knowledge.
